“My name is Charlotte Schrader, 25 years old, I live in Amsterdam and have been working as a Campus Recruiter at Core Business Services since December. My job? Hire new colleagues and represent EY at events throughout the Netherlands.” When asked how she ended up at EY, she laughs: “I saw the vacancy online and sent it to family and friends. Everyone said, “This is right for you!” It appealed to me because it's very broad: from events to job interviews. And I'm a human being. I love being in contact with a lot of different people.”
Hi,
I'm Charlotte
The most fun
at work
Charlotte doesn't have to think about that for long. “The events! I go to recruitment days all over the Netherlands and meet so many different people. But also the moment a candidate later says: 'I'm completely in the right place. ' Then I know: I did my job well.” The nice thing about her week is that it is never the same. One day she has an in-house event at one of the offices, the next day she is conducting interviews or planning recruitment dinners. One thing is the same every day: “The elevator! I fly all over the building from place to place. This is where fun conversations often occur with colleagues or applicants.”

“I want every new colleague to really be in the right place.”
liberty
& trust
“As a recruiter, I get a lot of freedom. Do you have a good idea for an event or project? Then you can just do that. That trust from management ensures that we can be creative and create the best ideas.”
What people
often don't know
Charlotte says that many people think recruitment is just LinkedIn. “But that's really not the case,” she says. “In fact, we do a lot more: organize, establish and maintain contact with associations, interview and launch creative projects. So it's super versatile.” She also states that EY is incredibly accessible. “That may not be the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to such a large corporate, but you have contact with all layers here. From consultant to partner. Everyone here makes time for you. I didn't expect that, but it makes working together really great.”
Tip
for new applicants
“EY is much less formal than you think. The average age is 32, and the atmosphere is informal and friendly. There are many possibilities for your development. On hard and soft skills. Even a Business English course if that's what you want.”
